Cillian is aged 25 from Ballymaley, just outside Ennis and hails from a farming background.
Cillian graduated with a Degree in Economics and Sociology in 2011 and a Masters in European Governance and Politics in 2012 from the University of Limerick.
He is currently a Business Support Manager with a Clare based HR professional services and systems company, dealing primarily with the cloud based HR system, HR Locker.
He has been Involved with St.Josephs Doora/Barefield GAA Club since he was very young and won several county titles with the club. Currently PRO with the Club. All-Ireland Gold medalist in Cross-Country running with St.Cronans A.C. Heavily involved with farming also, running farms in Barefield and Quin. Input includes animal welfare, machinery operation and financial management.
Cillian set up the Ennis branch of Macra na Feirme. He feels it is important to encourage more young people to take over the family farm.
As Secretary of the Ballyalla Lake Working Group, Cillian is working with local residents to achieve a more desireable public amenity for the people of Ennis and surrounding areas. This is done through regular clean-ups, encouraging water-based activities and lobbying the Council for more resources to be put into the area.
